Race for Riget 2014

4 Aug 2014

Race for Riget 2014, co-driver rides in supercars!

The first weekend of August, Copenhagen Historic Grand Prix is held at Bellahøj Park.

A city track of about 2.6 km is set up, and on the inner circle there are lots of activities in the form of various vendor stalls and exhibitions, as well as a paddock for the participating teams.

So you can get right up close to the action. It is also possible to follow the track all the way around.

Around midday, Race for Riget holds a fundraising race in aid of Rigshospitalet's children and youth department, featuring exciting supercars. It lasts about an hour.

This year it is possible to buy a ride in the Koenigsegg One:1. However there is only a limited number of rides.

Another ride could be with Rallycross driver Petter Solberg in his 450 hp Citroën Xsara WRC, or how about an Aston Martin Zagato with a V12 engine?

Not to mention the fantastic sounding Aston Martin DBR9 GT1 Le Mans!

You could go on. A ride in a Ferrari 458 GT3, Lamborghini Aventador, Porsche GT2 RS, Jaguar F-Type Coupe, Wiesmann MF5, Audi, Lotus, BMW, McLaren, and so on.

It should be said, however, that the cars are divided into price groups, and in most price groups you cannot choose a car yourself but are assigned one.

The whole event can be seen as a lovely mixed menu of racing cars of yesteryear all the way up to today's modern supercars.
