Rally Danimarca = 70 supercars from Ferrari drive from Aalborg to Copenhagen!
It’s not every day that we get the pleasure of seeing 70 cars from the famous Italian car brand with the rearing stallion driving across the country. Nevertheless, this actually happened on the occasion of Ferrari’s 70th birthday.
The Danish Ferrari importer Formula Auto had organized what they called “Rally Danimarca” to celebrate the brand’s 70th birthday. Rally Danimarca consisted about 70 pcs. “official” Ferrari participants drove from Aalborg to Copenhagen with pit stops along the way, where additional Ferrari cars joined the field.
But other Ferrari owners had decided they wanted to join the impressive procession. So all in all, it became a lot of Ferrari models on the Danish roads through the country.
The Rally Danimarca route started at “Hotel Hvide Hus” in Aalborg. From there they drove to Skanderborg, where pit stop 1 was.
Lunch was taken at MyGarage in Vejle, after which the Ferrari field continued to Nyborg, where Pitstop 2 took place.
Now comes the exciting part, namely pitstop 3, which was a rest area in Karlslunde with a Shell tank. We and some other carspotters had arrived and settled in. With butterflies in our stomachs, we were waiting for a most impressive sight to come our way, and then suddenly it happened! One after the other, Ferrari cars were arriving, one after the other.
We have never seen anything like it. It was an impressive sight and we had to keep our tongue straight in our mouths, regarding which Ferrari we should film, as it simply poured in with Ferrari cars that drove into different places in the area.
Some refueled and we had to say that it looked wild when about 20 Ferrari’s refueled V Power at the same time…!
There was no pre-reserved space for them at the rest area, so Ferraris were everywhere: between trucks, caravans and ordinary cars.
It was chaotic in a good way and the Ferrari owners had a big smile on their faces.
After a short stay, they continued to the closing party at Øksnehallen in Copenhagen.
